Do I need gaming experience to play?
 

Not at all! Our VR worlds have something for everyone—gamers and non-gamers alike. Designed for accessibility and enjoyment, our experiences are intuitive, making it easy for anyone to jump in. Whether you’re a seasoned pro or new to gaming, our team is here to guide you, ensuring you can focus on having fun and fully immersing yourself in the adventure.

Do you have a minimum age requirement?
All our experiences utilize equipment recommended by manufacturers for ages 10 and up. Understanding that gaming is a significant part of many children’s lives, we allow guests aged 6 and up at the discretion and consent of a parent or guardian. For guests under 18, a parent or guardian must sign a minor waiver form.
How many players can play at the same time?
The number of players varies by VR experience, with participation limits ranging from 1 to 8. For the best experience, we recommend a minimum of 2 players.

Do you accept walk-ins?

Walk-ins are welcome! To secure your reservation, we recommend booking online. If you’re unsure which experience to choose, feel free to contact us for assistance.

Will I be playing with my group only, or with other participants as well?

We have several Free Roam VR rooms that can accommodate 4 to 8 players. Unless you choose to book a private session, you might share the experience with other players!

HEALTH & SAFETY

What is your cleaning and sanitization process?

At Player One VR World, your health and safety are our top priorities. We use patented UVC LED technology to eliminate 99.9% of pathogens on device surfaces. After each use, we thoroughly disinfect all equipment. To enhance your experience, we provide disposable hygiene masks before using any VR headset, helping to keep things clean and comfortable for everyone. We’re here to ensure you have a safe and enjoyable experience!

How do players avoid collisions with each other or the walls?

Our advanced real-time motion capture technology tracks your entire body, allowing you to see and interact with other players in your group. Alerts are sent to notify everyone if they come too close to hard objects or walls. Clear boundaries are established within the game to ensure you remain within the designated area, and the game will automatically pause if any player enters restricted zones. Your safety and enjoyment are our top priorities.

Is motion sickness likely?

Most people don’t experience motion sickness in virtual reality due to free movement without lag, allowing for natural walking instead of button navigation. Motion sickness arises from a mismatch between actual and perceived motion. Real-time motion capture ensures your movements align with what you see, similar to how single-player pods use "teleportation."

What are the physical requirements for participants, including those with disabilities?

There are no weight limits for our Free Roam games; however, our VR rides and treadmill have a maximum weight capacity of 270 lbs.

 

For a comfortable experience, guests must be at least 46 inches (1.16 m) tall.

Our facility is fully wheelchair accessible and adheres to all city, state, and federal regulations. Wheelchair users can enjoy our 360-degree rides and motorcycles, provided they can fit within the seating arrangement. Additionally, our individual pods are designed to accommodate all wheelchair guests. Please note that our Free Roam games require the ability to move freely, and our safety system cannot support wheelchair users during group play.

 

We recommend consulting with your doctor prior to your visit if you have any serious medical conditions (such as heart issues), conditions affecting your ability to engage in physical activities (such as pregnancy), psychiatric conditions (including anxiety disorders or PTSD), or photosensitive epilepsy.

BOOKING & PRICING

Is it possible to change or cancel a reservation?

Cancellations made at least 72 hours before your scheduled booking will receive a full refund to the original payment method or a gift voucher for future use. Cancellations between 24-72 hours prior will incur a $50 fee, with the remaining balance issued as a gift certificate.

 

Unfortunately, cancellations made less than 24 hours in advance or no-shows will not be refunded.

 

Changes to your booking are subject to availability; please contact the store directly to explore options.

What is the process for booking a large group?

Can I get game recommendations?

What payment methods are accepted?

We accept a variety of payment methods, including all major credit cards, Zelle, Apple Pay, etc.

Do you offer gift cards?

Yes, gift cards can be purchased on our website and in-store.

Please note that all sales for e-gift cards are final. Gift cards are non-refundable, and lost, misplaced, or stolen gift cards cannot be replaced or redeemed.

THE EXPERIENCE

When should I arrive? What is your late policy?

Please arrive on time, as your time slot is reserved exclusively for you. Check in with the store host 15-30 minutes before your booking. We cannot begin until your entire party is present, so please consider traffic, parking, and the time needed to walk from parking to the store.

 

We have a strict 5-minute grace period for your reservation.

 

Late Policies:

  • Arriving less than 5 minutes late will result in a reduced experience.
  • Arriving more than 5 minutes late will lead to the cancellation of your booking, a $50 fee, and the remainder of your payment will be issued as a voucher for future use.
  • No-shows will result in automatic cancellation and a complete forfeiture of all payments.
Parking

Santa Monica:

There is 90 Minutes of free parking at the parking lot located at Ken Edwards Center (1527 4th St, Santa Monica, CA 90401) and Parking Structure 7 (350 Broadway, Santa Monica, CA 90401).

 

Hollywood:

Paid parking is available at the Ovation Hollywood Mall Parking Garage, and we are pleased to offer vouchers for $3 for the first 2 hours.

What should I wear?

This is an active experience, so we suggest wearing clothing that allows for free movement. Light, comfortable attire and closed-toe shoes, such as sneakers, are recommended, though casual wear is completely acceptable.

Can I wear glasses?

While contact lenses are recommended, our VR headsets can accommodate glasses comfortably.

How long is the experience?

Please allocate approximately 1.5 to 2 hours for your experience, which includes:

 

  • Arrival: Check in with your host 15-30 minutes prior to your booking to ensure a complete experience.
  • Training and Setup: Around 15 minutes for training and setup.
  • VR Experience: About 30-60 minutes of immersive virtual reality.
  • Post-Experience Highlights: An additional 15 minutes to relive your experience with cinematic video highlights featuring your team as the stars!

 

As an optional add-on, you can also try one of our 360-Degree VR Rides or the 9D Motorcycle Experience.

Is photo-taking allowed?

Certainly! We’re a social experience company and would love for you to share your journey with friends and family. Feel free to ask your game master to capture photos and videos during your session. Remember to follow and tag us with #playeronevrworld and @playeronevrworld!

Waiver

All guests must sign a general waiver, which can be completed online or in-store.

 

Guests aged 13-17 may come unaccompanied but must have their waivers signed by a parent or legal guardian.

 

Guests under 13 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.

Security & Belongings

Lockers are available at both locations. Any oversized items can be securely stored with a host or game master.

Is there a designated area for parents?

Yes, we provide fast guest Wi-Fi along with a variety of comfortable lounge seating areas where parents can work or unwind while they wait. Both locations offer a welcoming atmosphere to make your visit enjoyable.
